3 Solon Students Are Finalists For Presidential Scholars Program
The U.S. Presidential Scholars program is one of the most prestigious and exclusive honors bestowed on students.

SOLON, OH — Three Solon High School seniors have been named Presidential Scholar candidates. The trio of Comets are among only 3,000 students nationwide to be named candidates.
The three Solon students named 2019 Presidential Scholar Program candidates are Nicholas Kernan, Samuel Oguntoyinbo and Michael Zhu.
The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program is a prestigious and exclusive honor for high school students. Candidates must perform exceptionally well on the ACT or SAT and demonstrate their leadership and service to their school and community. Only 161 students, each year, are named Presidential Scholars.

Solon High has a nice history with the Presidential Scholars Program. In recent years, six Comets have been named to the program. In 2017, 11 students from Solon were named candidates for the program.
