36 Bags Of Weed Found During Solon Traffic Stop

The owner of the backpack is being held for drug trafficking, police said.

SOLON, OH — Thirty-six individually wrapped bags of marijuana were found inside a car stopped by Solon Police this week. The passenger in the car has been arrested and charged with drug trafficking.

Officers stopped a car on Aurora Road on Monday afternoon because it had darkly tinted windows, which is a crime. The driver, an East Cleveland woman, had a suspended driver's license and three active arrest warrants. The passenger, a 32-year-old from Cleveland, had four arrest warrants.

The passenger was holding a backpack when police spoke with him. Officers searched the backpack and found 36 wrapped bags of marijuana and a digital scale.

The driver is being charged with driving under suspension, illegal window tint, and drug possession. The passenger is charged with drug trafficking and is being held on his warrants, police said.
