4 School Buses Spray Painted In Solon

Police said the buses were parked at Orchard Middle School overnight. There is video of a suspect, but no one in the footage has been ID'd.

SOLON, OH — Four school buses at Orchard Middle School were vandalized last week, Solon Police said. Someone spray painted the school district's vehicles.

The defacement was discovered at about 9 a.m. on October 25. Police said the spray painting was likely done between 10:16 p.m. and 10:23 p.m., the night before, at the SOM Center Road school. All of the buses were marked with what looks like the same, generic symbol (pictured above).

A school district official told Patch that once the graffiti was discovered the police were contacted. After a brief investigation, the buses were cleaned up. The district official said there are safety protocols in place for protecting Solon Schools property, but declined to go into specifics.

The suspect was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and white athletic shoes. Police said the suspect managed to tag all four buses in that short window of time. There is video of a suspect, police said, but the footage does not show the spray painting being done.
