71-Year-Old Bedford Woman Charged With $300,000 Embezzlement
Catherine Wilson allegedly embezzled nearly $300,000 from Koppel Advertising over a four year period.

BEDFORD, OH - A 71-year-old Bedford woman was indicted on Wednesday by a federal grand jury. She is accused of embezzling almost $300,000 from her employer via bank fraud.
Catherine Wilson worked at Koppel Advertising in Bedford from 1991 through 2014. For the last four years of her career there, from 2011 to 2014, she allegedly used Koppel's business accounts to pay for personal bills and expenses, the indictment says.
To cover her tracks, Wilson allegedly altered Koppel's bank statements. She would remove any record of her transactions. According to the indictment, over that time span, she was able to embezzle approximately $288,235.
