Anti-Overdose Drug Given To Driver That Hit Mailboxes In Solon
Police said the driver was found unconscious behind the wheel of her car, which was parked at an intersection.

SOLON, OH — Narcan — the anti-overdose drug — was given to a woman that drove her car into trash cans and mailboxes before parking at an intersection in Solon.
Police said they were sent to Windy Hill Drive after callers reported seeing an erratic driver hitting garbage cans in the area. When officers arrived, they found the car stopped at Creekside Lane and Bainbridge Road. The driver appeared to be unconscious, her head lolling back.
Officers tried to rouse the woman, with no success. So police opened the car and tried to unbuckle the woman and remove her from the car. As officers were pulling the woman out, she woke up.

The woman, a 52-year-old from Tallmadge, was sweating heavily. She was extremely confused, police said. While talking with officers, the woman's eyes would droop slowly closed.
The woman denied drinking alcohol or taking drugs. She also said she didn't have any medical conditions that would cause her condition.

Solon Fire was called to the scene to evaluate the woman. EMS discovered a rock like material in the cellophane of the woman's cigarettes. Emergency personnel believe the substance was an illegal drug.
EMS then gave the woman Narcan. After the woman was given the anti-overdose drug, she became more alert. She was then taken to a medical facility for analysis.
At the facility, the woman said the substance found in the cellophane had been heroin, police said. A urine sample was taken and sent for analysis. The woman was charged with operating a vehicle impaired.
