SOLON, OH — A new baseball and softball training facility has opened its doors in Solon. D-BAT Solon will celebrate its grand opening on November 17, but is currently open to the public.

The business is a training facility which offers private baseball and softball lessons, with state-of-the-art pitching machines, a fully-stocked pro shop, and more than 50 camps in strength, speed and agility.

The facility opened on November 5, but its grand opening is scheduled for November 17, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. During the grand opening, guests can enjoy free baseball and softball clinics, food trucks, free swings in the cages, and giveaways.

“The opportunity to make a living doing something that I love has been unreal. I am really looking forward to giving the community the opportunity to practice, improve and play the sports they love year-round,” said owner D-BAT Solon franchise owner Brad Emerman.

Emerman, a hometown Solon boy, is a member of the Beachwood Softball Hall of Fame. He is also the president and CEO of ProNine Sports, a wholesaler of baseball and softball sporting goods. His two businesses will located next door to each other at 29001 Solon Road.

D-BAT Solon has more than 20,000 square feet of space. The area is big enough to house 12 different cages, for batting, pitching, and lessons. There is also a fieldhouse with practice areas. EFS Personal Training will run speed, strength, and agility training camps and classes at the facility.

The business will also offer a field simulation called Hitraxx, which shows where a ball was hit in a stadium. The simulation is both a training tool and great entertainment. Players can run home run derbies through the machine.

D-BAT Solon is open to the public and membership plans are needed. In fact, the first 300 people that enroll in a D-BAT Solon program will get $10 off their monthly memberships for life.

“There are so many amazing athletes in this area,” Emerman said. “This facility will give them the opportunity to improve their skills and have fun doing it.”
