'Belligerent' Woman Fights Solon Bar Patron: Police
The suspect was eventually taken into custody, but struggled against officers and slid out of her handcuffs, police said.
SOLON, OH — An intoxicated woman tried to run from officers after she was arrested for disorderly conduct on Wednesday, police said.
Police were sent to the Annex bar on Pettibone Road at about 12:30 a.m. on May 15. Callers reported that a woman was being attacked by another woman.
When officers arrived, they learned the suspect — a 26-year-old from Chagrin Falls — had been complaining loudly about personal issues at the bar. Another woman at the bar offered to call her a ride home.

The suspect grabbed the woman's phone and threw it. The woman picked up her phone and again offered to call the suspect a ride. The suspect snatched the phone and tossed it again.
The woman and the suspect exchanged words and then the suspect punched the woman in the face and continued to hit her, police said. The attacked woman refused to press charges, police added.

Officers spoke with the suspect and again offered to arrange a ride home for her. She refused. The suspect then became belligerent and was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.
During the arrest, the Chagrin Falls woman refused to cooperate with officers and pulled away from police. At one point she managed to slip out of her handcuffs, according to police. She was eventually taken to Solon Correction Center.
Police offered to call a ride for the woman from the correction center and she again refused.
