Boy Left Alone With Loaded Gun In Solon, Dad Arrested
A 7-year-old boy was left alone in a Solon apartment building for two hours, with a copy of Grand Theft Auto and a loaded gun nearby.

SOLON, OH — A Solon man has been charged with endangering children after he left his 7-year-old son alone in his apartment with a loaded gun.
Police were called to the Park North Apartments at about noon on Nov. 19. Reports had come in that a young child was wandering the hallways of the complex, knocking on doors and telling people he was scared and had been left home alone.
Officers arrived and learned the boy had been left in the apartment by his father. The boy was told not to leave the apartment by his father. However, the child got scared after his father was gone for more than two hours and started wandering the halls.

Officers found the boy back in his father's apartment. He was in the bedroom, playing Grand Theft Auto, a Mature-rated video game that Common Sense Media described as "not for kids." Officers noticed a loaded pistol left on an upper shelf of the closet in the bedroom.
The boy's father, a 27-year-old Solon man, was charged with endangering children. He turned himself into police Nov. 20.
