Ready for Some Great Chili and Fun Saturday Sept. 29 at 5:00-7:30

The recipes are being perfected by our local celebrities competing for top honors in the Chili Cook-off Saturday held at Solon United Methodist Church.  As I took the presale tickets and t-shirts around to the celebs the "trash-talking" began.  I handed the flier to Mayor Susan Drucker who is competing for the third year.  She eyed the competition and noticed that Police Chief Chris Viland is in the hunt.  Her response, "O Viland is in it...he's going down!"  I was hoping to get a response from Chief Viland, but he was unavailable that day.  I'm sure that someone will point this out to him for some good "kitchen wall material" as he's preparing his chili.
