Solon Speech and Debate Seeks Success at Sylvania High School

The Speech and Debate team perseveres through a challenging two-day tournament at Sylvania High School.

A portion of the SHS Speech and Debate Team sacrificed a day of school on Friday to travel to Sylvania high School for arguably the most challenging tournament of the season. With just over 1,100 total competitors, Sylvania once again proved itself to be a tournement to be reckoned with. After a three-hour bus ride through the snow, the team competed three rounds on Friday night. The team wished a very happy birthday to its head coach, Jennifer Moore, on Saturday and competed in two more preliminary rounds before semi-final rounds and ultimately final rounds were announced. A gengerous congratulations to the following semi-finalists and finalists, and the entire Solon team for great work at a tough competition!
