Break-In At St. Rita's School In Solon

Someone broke into the school's mobile unit and stole a key and a key FOB.

SOLON, OH — Police are investigating a curious break-in at St. Rita's School's mobile unit. So far they've been unable to uncover why someone wanted to get into the building.

Someone broke into the facility between May 3 at 4 p.m. and May 4 at 9:36 a.m. The only things taken though were a key and a key FOB. The detective bureau is reviewing the case, but a Solon Police spokesperson said there have been no updates on the case since the investigation began. Police have also been unable to determine a motive.

Police are also looking into a pair of thefts that happened earlier this month.

On May 4, about $1,500 of brake rotors were stolen from Liberty Ford on Aurora Road. The rotors were in a container and weighed approximately 12,000 pounds. The container itself is worth $3,000, according to police reports.

The theft occurred sometime between May 4 and May 7. The detective bureau is investigating the theft.

Police are looking into a shoplifting incident at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Someone allegedly grabbed a Breville Juicer, worth $149.99, and a Cuisinart Coffee Maker worth $199.99.

Detectives were able to identify a suspect and a warrant has been issued for Michael Russe, 37, of Maple Heights.
