Broadway Avenue, I-77 South Ramp Closing June 12
The entrance ramp will be closed for six months while crews build a new frontage road.

BEDFORD, OH —The Broadway Avenue (SR 14) entrance ramp to I-77 south will be closed on June 12 so crews can build a new frontage road along the west side of I-77. The ramp was originally slated to be closed in early March but the work was postponed due to design changes.
The new frontage road will run parallel to I-77 and connect Broadway to Pershing Avenue. Traffic will then be able to enter I-77 south.
The Broadway Avenue entrance will remain closed for approximately 6 months, the Ohio Department of Transportation says. Drivers that use Broadway to enter I-77 south will be re-directed to Pershing Avenue.

Crews will also be rebuilding the Broadway Avenue bridge during the project. That work isn't expected to begin until mid-2018.
The work on Broadway Avenue is part of the broader Cleveland Innerbelt Modernization Plan, a $28,934,600 project that will be completed in 2019. The Plan is designed to reduce congestion and traffic delays by improving I-71, I-77, and I-90.

The plan is being carried out with an investment from the state and will include two new George V. Voinovich Bridges to carry I-90 traffic.
