Burglar Steals Money From Safe At Solon Motel
The suspect called an employee and said there was garbage outside the business. When the employee went to check it out, the burglar struck.

SOLON, OH — Police are looking for an unidentified man that burgled the Solon Motel. The suspect may have convinced the bartender to leave his post, giving the suspect access to an open safe.
On August 3, at little before 9 a.m., the bartender at Solon Motel got a call saying there was garbage outside the motel, on the daycare side. The bartender assumed it was an employee of the daycare and went outside to investigate.
Problem was, there was no garbage.

The bartender came back to his post and found someone had gotten access to the open safe behind the bar. Money was missing.
Police were at the scene by 9:10 a.m. Investigators looked at surveillance footage and found that an unidentified man came into the bar shortly after the bartender left. The man took cash from the open safe and then left.

The detective bureau continues to investigate the case, police said.
