Bus Crash In Solon: Charges Announced Against Driver
The driver of a car that rear-ended an RTA bus had THC ampules and a small amount of marijuana in his possession, police said.

SOLON, OH — Nine people were hurt last Friday when a car rear-ended an RTA bus on Aurora Road. Police now say the driver of the car that hit the bus had 24 vape pens, with ampules containing THC, and a small amount of marijuana in his possession.
The bus was going south on Aurora Road when the car crashed into its back. The accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. Police had to divert traffic away from the area during the morning rush hour commute.
Eight people on the bus and the RTA driver were taken to a local hospital for treatment. None of the injuries were serious.

Officers spoke to the people involved and arrested the driver of the car. The driver, a 41-year-old Solon man, is being charged with drug possession and failure to maintain assured clear distance. Officers found the vape pens, THC, and marijuana in his vehicle.
