Opened in April 2021, Solon Treatment Services is an outpatient opioid treatment center for men and women struggling with addiction to heroin, pain pills and other substances.

COVID has been at the forefront of everyone’s minds and it’s likely COVID that has worsened the opioid crisis as it rages on in states like Ohio.

A news release issued by the office of the Ohio Attorney General in January 2021 stated the death rate from opioid overdose in Ohio in the second quarter of 2020 was the highest in 10 years. Cuyahoga County is one of many areas that has seen an increase in deaths and continues to be afflicted by opioid abuse.

“Treatment for opioid addiction is needed now more than ever in our local communities ,” said Joe Pritchard, CEO, Pinnacle Treatment Centers. "But recovery is possible."

Medicaid-friendly, Solon Treatment Services provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), particularly methadone, at the facility. MAT is considered to be the gold standard of care for opioid addiction and includes methadone, buprenorphine, Vivitrol, and counseling.

The FDA-approved medicines work to curb withdrawal symptoms from heroin and pain pill addiction; prevent relapse; and help ease the physical discomfort that accompanies opioid recovery.

Individual and group counseling is provided as part of a holistic approach to patient care. Relapse prevention, nutrition education, life skills counseling, meditation strategies, and trigger identification and management are a few areas of focus.

In addition to clinical and medical care, Solon Treatment Services’ team of doctors, nurses, licensed clinical therapists, and medical assistants offers hope and refuge.

Solon Treatment Services accepts Medicaid, commercial insurance, and offers reasonable self-pay rates. It plans to accept Medicare/Medicare Advantage by early 2022. The center is open Mondays through Fridays, 6 a.m.- 2 p.m., and on Saturdays, 6 a.m.- 9 a.m. Individuals can call for a free confidential assessment.
