Car Chase Ends With Crash In Solon
Police said a car was pursued out of Bainbridge, through Aurora, and into Solon.
SOLON, OH — A car chase through east side suburbs ended with a crash on Solon Road, police said. At least one person has been taken into custody for fleeing from officers.
According to Solon police, at about 11:50 a.m. on July 27, a car chase that sped through Bainbridge and Aurora entered Solon. Witnesses said they saw men inside the car wearing gloves and masks, parked outside a business in Bainbridge, before police pursuing the car.
The car chase started in Bainbridge and tore through Aurora and continued along Aurora Road into Solon. Police spotted the car in the Solon business district and began chasing the vehicle.

The car weaved in and out of traffic and refused to pull over. The car blew through traffic signals and tried to turn right onto Solon Road from SOM Center Road. The driver lost control of the vehicle and drove into a tree.
The driver jumped out of the car and surrendered to police, according to records. Three other people were inside the car, including a teenager from Cleveland.

Police searched the car and found a bullet, latex gloves, cell phones and a BB, police said.
The driver, a 20-year-old from Cleveland, will face charges for fleeing and eluding police.
