Car Thief Sought In Solon
Solon Police pursued a car thief on US 422 on April 2. The thief got away and now officers are asking the public to ID the suspect.

SOLON, OH - Solon Police are asking the public for help in finding a suspect that led officers on a car chase on April 2. The man was able to elude officers and get away with stolen property.
The car chase on April 2 ended with a minor accident near Lee Road. Officers spotted a stolen car driving on US 422 and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Instead of yielding, the car sped up and pulled off the Lee Road exit. Near the exit, the stolen vehicle sideswiped another vehicle and kept driving.
Solon Police stopped chasing the suspect after the accident. However, police said they would examine patrol car video footage to try and identify the drive.

Police are now saying the believe the suspect could have been involved in another theft and pursuit in the area. They say the suspect is driving a white Ford Explore with dealer plates reading 030 1669.
