Chagrin Falls Man Killed In Car Crash In Pennsylvania

The man was on the Pennsylvania Turnpike when a wrong-way driver hit his car, according to police.

CHAGRIN FALLS, OH — A 36-year-old Chagrin Falls man was killed in a head-on car crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Saturday night.

According to reports, a 76-year-old man drove his Subaru Outback into the wrong lane on the turnpike and drove for eight miles in the wrong direction. He then collided with a Nissan Pathfinder, driven by Andrew Sworan, 36, of Chagrin Falls.

The crash killed both Sworan and the driver of the other car, William Paxton, according to the Pitssburgh Post-Gazette.

There were three other people in Sworan's car — a 40-year-old woman, and two children. All three passengers were taken to a hospital in Youngstown. Their conditions are unknown.

A 74-year-old woman was riding in the Outback with Paxton. She was taken to a Pennsylvania hospital.

The crash closed down part of the Turnpike for four hours.
