City Of Solon To Begin Annual Christmas Tree Recycling Collection

Residents are reminded to remove any lights, ornaments, tinsel, garland, or plastic from trees before placing them at the curb for pick-up.

SOLON, OH — The City of Solon’s annual Christmas tree recycling collection will begin soon and local residents are advised to put their trees out by the curb for pickup.

The city announced Wednesday that crews will be working their way around the city to collect live trees but will only be collecting clean trees. Residents must remove all lights, ornaments, garland, tinsel, tree stands and plastic from their tree before placing them out by the curb.

All artificial trees will be collected and discarded. Artificial trees should be placed in solid waste carts for collection, city officials said.
