Clothes Recycling Service Suspended In Solon

Simple Recycling should resume collection in spring.

SOLON, OH — Simple Recycling has suspended service in Solon due to COVID-19, the city announced this week.

The service is temporarily discontinuing curbside clothes and shoes collection until further notice. The program is expected to resume sometime in the spring, city officials said.

Simple Recycling takes donated clothes and sorts them into three categories: top quality, mid-quality and unusable. The top quality goods are resold to thrift stores, mid-quality goods are exported to international markets and unusable items are processed for raw materials, the company said.
