Cocaine Having, Fired DiBella's Staffer Arrested In Solon

The employee was fired Aug. 27 and made a scene in the restaurant. Police were called and cocaine was found in the man's possession.

SOLON, OH — Making a scene after being fired isn't a great idea if you're holding an illegal narcotic. Police arrested a man after he caused a disturbance at a local sandwich shop and cocaine was found in the ex-staffer's possession.

OVI, Aug. 26 — Police arrested a 55-year-old Cleveland man after a traffic stop in the early morning hours. The man had failed to maintain his lane while driving on Aurora Road and was stopped by officers. The driver performed field sobriety tests which indicated he was intoxicated. He was taken to jail and refused a breath test. A Ruger MK II .22 caliber handgun was found in a box on the passenger seat of his car. He was charged with OVI, failure to maintain marked lanes, no seatbelt, and improper handling of a firearm, a fourth degree felony.

Drug Possession, Aug. 27 — Police were called to DiBella's Old Fashioned Subs, 30050 Aurora Rd., for a man that had been fired from working at restaurant and was creating a disturbance. The man, a 25-year-old from Twinsburg, was waiting for a ride after being fired. He had active warrants with Solon, Maple Heights and Walton Hills. He was arrested and police found cocaine in his pants pocket. He was held on the three outstanding warrants and charged with drug possession.

OVI, Aug. 28 — Police stopped a car for drifting over the fog and center lines on US 422 at about 11:30 p.m. The driver, a 48-year-old Parma Heights man, had a suspended driver's license and an active warrant with Brook Park Police. The man was also acting intoxicated, police say. He was taken to jail where he blew a .155. He was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC, driving under suspension, failure to maintain marked lanes and open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Animal Bite, Aug. 28 — While walking their dogs past a Popham Lane address, another dog ran out of a home and attacked the two dogs being walked. The owner of the attacking dog came out and tried to restrain her animal. In the ruckus, one of the dog walkers was bitten by the Popham Lane animal. Officers are still investigating the incident.

Theft, Aug. 29 —Three unlocked cars were rifled through on Aug. 29. All of the cars were parked on Brainard Road. Cash was taken from the vehicles. Police say there are no suspects.
