Coffee With Solon Cops On Aug. 19

Get to know the men and women that patrol your streets over a darn good cup o' joe.

SOLON, OH — Police will once again host the Coffee with a Cop event on Aug. 19 at Market District, 34310 Aurora Rd. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and gives attendees the chance to get know local officers.

Attendees can meet their ward officers and chat about anything. There's no pre-set agenda or approved questions. If you want to talk basketball, talk basketball. Want to talk about the use of lethal force in law enforcement? You can do that too.

Police last held one of these events on April 22. Residents were able to go to Market District and chat up their local cops. (To stay up to date on these stories, subscribe to the Patch Solon newsletter. As news breaks and the story develops, you will be the first to receive updates from Patch.)

Coffee with a Cop is part of a national movement to bridge the divide between police and the people they protect and serve. Many other Northeast Ohio towns sponsor similar programs.
