Construction On SOM Center In Solon Next week

Drivers that use the SOM Center corridor may find their commute a bit longer next week.

SOLON, OH — Even as fall comes to Northeast Ohio, construction season continues in Solon. The city announced a new project that will slow traffic in the SOM Center corridor for several days next week.

Crews from the Solon Service Department will be excavating test holes in the north and south lanes of SOM Center, between Solon Road and Bainbridge Road. The test holes are located in front of catch basins. The teams will be looking for conduit ducts for an upcoming engineering project, the city said on social media.

The project should take place from September 25 until September 28. There will be traffic zones set up at each location, the city said.
