Driver Stops On US 422, Passes Out With Kids In Car
Solon police said the man had an open container of brandy in his vehicle, along with two children.

SOLON, OH — A car slowed to a stop on US 422 east, near Harper Road, a little before midnight on July 20. The driver, a 27-year-old man, slumped over the steering wheel and drifted off. The man's two daughters were asleep in the vehicle.
Police were called to the scene and found the man unresponsive in his car. He smelled like alcohol, according to police reports. Officers also saw the two young children, ages 4 and 6, in the vehicle.
The girls were turned over to their grandfather and the man was arrested. Officers then searched the man's car. They found a black knife, with a 5.5 inch blade, a half empty bottle of brandy, and a mini-scale and utility knife with marijuana residue.
