Drug Bust On Pettibone Road Gets Woman Arrested

SOLON, OH — Officers stopped a car with expired license plates on Pettibone Road at about 2 p.m. on March 28. After talking with the driver, police found drugs in the driver's car and arrested a 29-year-old from Garrettsville for felony drug abuse, driving under suspension and gave her a citation for expired plates. A passenger in the car was also cited for possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.

Here are other incidents from recent weeks.

Theft, March 24 — A 21-year-old Solon man was arrested for stealing a bottle of vodka from a gas station at 7:30 p.m. on March 24. The clerk at the business saw the man taking the bottle and called police. The theft was then confirmed on surveillance footage of the incident and the 21-year-old was taken into custody.

OVI, March 29 — Police were called to the scene of a car accident on March 29. Two cars had crashed in front of Marc's on SR 91 at about 9 p.m. The at-fault driver, a 40-year-old woman from Aurora, was arrested and taken to jail where she blew a .096 on a breath test. She was charged with operating a vehicle impaired, prohibited BAC and failing to stop at a red light.

Theft, April 1 — A 31-year-old Bainbridge man was working out at Planet Fitness when someone took his car keys out of his locker, went to his car and stole $220. The suspect then returned the man's keys. Management said there had a suspicious man lurking around the gym, possibly taking keys. A surveillance photo of the suspect has been provided to detectives.

Theft, April 4 — Police were called to Market District at about 11:30 a.m. There were reports of an employee stealing merchandise from the grocery store. A 21-year-old Bedford Heights man was accused of stealing food and cigars, worth about $150. He was arrested for theft.
