Drunk Driver Pukes on Himself, Passes Out Behind Wheel: Solon Police Blotter
Officers found the man sleeping in a driveway on Worlington Drive.

SOLON, OH -
Assault, Davis Industrial Parkway: A 37-year-old employee of King Nut told officers that she had been sitting in her car after work when a 32-year-old female approached her car, opened her door, and struck her twice in the face on Nov. 11. This apparently is the result of past issues between the two.
Physical Control, Worlington Drive: Officers were called to Worlington Drive for a suspicious male asleep in a driveway on Nov. 11. Officers found Anthony Ciccone, 27 from Streetsboro, passed out in the driver seat of the car with what appeared to be vomit all over his chest and face. There was a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the car. Ciccone was arrested and taken to jail where he agreed to a breath test with a result of .142. He was charged with Physical Control and Prohibited BAC.

Identity Theft, Arlesford Drive: On November 12th at 12:00 p.m. a 61-year-old Arlesford Drive resident reported that an unknown person had called him in December of 2015 stating they represented Vonage, his phone service, and advised him that he needed to make a payment on his account. The unknown person took his debit card number and a short time later, he found that someone had opened a second Vonage account in his name. Other fraudulent charges have occurred on his account totaling $278.33. His debit card has been changed and his Vonage account credited upon filing of the police report.
Theft, Monroe Court: A 37-year-old Monroe Court resident reported that an X-box system that she had sent back to the manufacturer for repair had been returned via UPS to the Liberty Hills leasing office on August 31, 2016, but she had never received it. Tracking indicated that the package was signed for at the office, but the signature/identity of the signor appears to be fictitious. The insurance on the package will reimburse the victim upon completion of the police report.

Theft, Bed, Bath, and Beyond: A representative of Bed, Bath, and Beyond reported that a male and female had entered the store earlier without merchandise and had approached customer service with two items valued at $209.98 attempting to return the items without a receipt. While the manager was attempting to find the transaction in their system the individuals left the store without paying for the merchandise. The detective bureau will follow up on the theft with surveillance video and other stores.
Theft, Solon Square: On November 13th at 6:35 p.m. officers responded to the area in front of Sunny’s Asian Food, 33625 Aurora Road, where a 41-year-old Aurora resident had arranged to meet with someone whom he had sold his iPhone to via an app called Offerup. He met with the individual, who was with two other males who entered Jimmy John’s. The buyer looked at the phone and requested the victim to sign out of iCloud and replace the SIM card in the phone, which he did. Afterward the other two males exited Jimmy John’s and all three ran with the phone between Jimmy John’s and Sunny’s towards the Imperial Wok. The detective bureau will follow up on the crime.
OVI, US 422: Anthony Fiorelli, 30 from Willowick, was arrested for OVI after an officer observed him entering US 422 westbound from SR 91 northbound; Fiorelli continued to cross both the fog and center lines on the highway. He was stopped just west of SR 91 and, upon approaching the car, the officer observed that he had gred, glassy eyes and there was a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage. Field sobriety tests further indicated impairment and he was arrested and taken to jail where he refused to submit to a breath test. Fiorelli was charged with OVI (three prior convictions), Following Too Closely, and Failure to Drive within Marked Lanes, and No Seat Belt.
Criminal Simulation, Marc’s: On November 16th warrants were prepared for Allyn Bell, 30 of Cuyahoga Falls, and Robert Peters, 29 of Akron, for Criminal Simulation related to an incident on October 17th where they passed counterfeit $100 bills at Marc’s, 6231 S.O.M. Center Road. This was a result of investigation by Solon and other area agencies that experienced similar instances involving the same suspects. The two suspects remain at large.
