Drunken Driver Soils Himself, Crashes Car In Solon: Police
Police arrested four drunken drivers in less than one week. One of the suspects had urinated himself, police said.

SOLON, OH — Police arrested four drunken drivers in less than one week in Solon. One of the drivers had urinated himself after crashing his car, according to police reports. Read more about that incident and all the other arrests in the blotter below.
OVI, Feb. 9 — A patrolling officer saw a car speeding on US 422, driving 76 mph in a 60 mph zone. The officer stopped the car at 1:28 a.m. and then spoke with the driver, a 35-year-old from Brooklyn, Ohio. Police said they smelled an "overwhelming" odor of alcohol coming from the driver, who admitted to having two drinks. Field sobriety tests were administered and then the driver was arrested and taken to Solon Correction Center. At the jail, the driver blew a .157 on a breath test. The driver has been charged with speeding, driving in marked lanes, operating a vehicle impaired, and prohibited BAC. The driver had a previous OVI conviction, according to police.
OVI, Feb. 10 — At 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 10, police spotted a car driving south on SOM Center Road without its headlights on. Officers began following the car and saw it drift across marked lanes. The car was then stopped. The driver insisted the headlights were actually on, and smelled of alcohol, police said. When questioned by police, the driver first denied and then admitted to "drinking a little," police said. The 23-year-old driver, from Twinsburg, was arrested and taken to the Solon Correction Center. The driver blew a .215 on a breath test and was charged with required headlights, marked lanes, OVI, and prohibited BAC.

OVI, Feb. 10 — While patrolling on US 422 at 2 a.m., an officer clocked a car driving 80 mph in a 60 mph zone. The officer stopped the car and then spoke with the driver. She told police she was having a hard time finding her driver's license and then became upset recalling how she couldn't find her car in downtown Cleveland. The driver smelled of alcohol, police said. She admitted to having one mixed rink. The driver, a 26-year-old from Mantua, was arrested and taken to Solon Correction Center. She blew a .142 on a breath test and was charged with speeding, not having a front license plate, operating a vehicle impaired, and prohibited BAC.

OVI, Feb. 13 — Police were called to a car crash near Liberty and Pettibone roads at 8 p.m. One of the involved drivers appeared to be intoxicated. Police said the driver had urinated himself, was swaying while standing, had glassy eyes, and smelled of alcohol. The driver admitted to having four beers and was arrested. The driver refused to take a breath test at Solon Correction Center.
