Employee Safety Program Announced For June In Solon

Check-in begins at 11:15 a.m. and the program begins at 11:45 a.m.

From Western Reserve Safety Council: Western Reserve Safety Council announces the next monthly program Globalized Harmonized System for Hazard Communications, Wednesday, June 6, 11:30 a.m. at Mustard Seed Market & Café, 6025 Kruse Dr., Solon. Globally Harmonized System for Hazard Communication is an international standard for informing workers about health, physical and environmental hazards in the workplace. Speaker Glenn Miller from Compliance Technologies will cover who needs HazCom/GHS Training and why, where HazCom rates on OSHA list of most cited violations, what theGHS pictograms are, measuring success and more.

Glenn Miller is a Senior Project Manager for Compliance Technologies, Inc., a professional environmental, health, and safety services Company serving the Midwest. He received his tri-major B.S. degrees in Chemistry, Biology and Music Education from Case Western Reserve University, M.S. in Clinical Chemistry from Cleveland State University and MBA from Baldwin Wallace College.

Mr. Miller provides a broad range of consulting services with over 35 years of experience in the chemical industry. He specializes in training, HazCom programs, dangerous goods handling and labeling (GHS, HMIS and NFPA), transportation compliance (DOT/IATA and IMDG), site audits, global regulatory compliance (REACH, TSCA), and Process Safety Management.

The WRSC is a program of the Solon Chamber of Commerce and is a collaborative effort of the Ohio BWC and Twinsburg, Hudson, Aurora, Beachwood and Chagrin Valley Chambers of Commerce. Established in 2014, The WRSC, is open to all area businesses, not-for-profits and government entities.

The mission of the safety council is to provide a forum for the presentation of health and safety issues and exchange ideas and concepts for best practices in the workplace with an emphasis on regulatory compliance (e.g. OSHA, EPA rules and regulations, among others).
