Employee At Solon Business Threatened With Gun

The man was outside on his break when someone pulled up in a truck and pointed a gun at his head.

SOLON, OH — Solon Police are investigating an attempted assault from last week. An employee at a local business was outside on his break when a man jumped out of a pickup truck and threatened him with a handgun, pointing it at his head and trying to hit him with the weapon.

On Oct. 12. police were called to King Nut, 6401 Davis Industrial Prkwy. for an employee that was threatened outside the business. Callers said someone had pulled up and threatened the worker while carrying a gun.

Officers spoke with the victim and witnesses. The employee, a 26-year-old from Euclid, went outside on his break. A red Chevy truck stopped near him and a black man, with a beard, jumped out of the passenger side of the vehicle and walked toward the employee.

The man pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the employee's head, before trying to hit the 26-year-old with the gun. Other people at the scene jumped into the fray and the suspect got back into the red pickup and drove off.

The detective bureau is still investigating the incident.
