Euclid High School Football Player Dies After Game in Solon
Andre Jackson, a 17-year-old junior, was pronounced dead on Sunday.

EUCLID, OH - A 17-year-old Euclid High School football player died Sunday, two days after being hospitalized following a game with Solon High School.
Andre Jackson, a junior, was pronounced dead on Sunday afternoon, according to a district statement. A cause of death has not yet been determined.
According to Euclid High School's website, Jackson played full back and outside linebacker. His favorite subject in school was math.

Jackson was transported to Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood after his injury, reports Fox 8. USA Today says Jackson is the third high school football player to die this season. A 17-year-old in Texas died from complications resulting from a rare heart condition and a 14-year-old died after collapsing in practice.
Both the Euclid City Schools and Solon City Schools have issued statements extending their sympathies to the Jackson family. Counselors will be made available to any Solon students who feel the need to talk or are seeking additional support.
