Hospice of the Western Reserve Katie Dolesh Lecture

On Thursday, September 15, Hospice of the Western Reserve is hosting its 15th Annual Katie Dolesh Lecture, a free community event featuring Maggie Callanan.

Maggie Callanan is a hospice nurse and author of Final Gifts: Understanding the Special Awareness Needs and Communication of the Dying, a moving book comprised of 20 years of stories and experiences as a hospice nurse and tending to the terminally ill.

The annual Katie Dolesh Lecture is a free event open to the community in celebration of former executive director of the Make-A-Wish Foundation- Northeastern Ohio Chapter and hospice patient, Katie Dolesh, who dedicated her life to philanthropy and volunteering. Through such annual lectures, in memory of Katie Dolesh, Hospice of the Western Reserve is able to raise public awareness about hospice and palliative care.
