Ever Wanted To Tip A Cop? Soon, You'll Have The Chance

Solon Police will be taking part in a fundraiser for the Special Olympics by acting as waiters at a nearby Red Robin.

SOLON, OH — Ever wanted to tip a police officer? It's a weird urge, but it's a wish that can soon be fulfilled.

Solon Police, along with other area law enforcement departments, will be taking part in "Tip a Cop" events at area Red Robins in October. The events help raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics, Ohio.

On Saturday, Oct. 21, Solon cops will be at the Independence Red Robin from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Officers will be working with servers to celebrate Special Olympics Athletes. The Tip a Cop event is part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics and is co-sponsored by Coca Cola.
