Ex-Boyfriend Threatens To Kill Solon Resident
The man has made phone calls to his ex saying he is going to kill her. Police are now looking for the man.

SOLON, OH — Police have issued a warrant for a 59-year-old man that has been calling his ex-girlfriend, a Solon resident, and threatening to kill her. More information on that incident, and others from last week, are available below.

Aggravated Menacing, Aug. 1 — A 46-year-old Solon resident has been receiving phone calls from her ex-boyfriend. The man is threatening to kill the resident. A warrant for aggravated menacing has been issued for Michael Hartman, 59, of Cleveland.

OVI, July 30 — Police stopped Joshua Sayles, 24, of Mayfield Heights, for driving 52 mph in a 35 mph zone. Officers say Sayles was also weaving between the center line and fog line while driving. Sayles smelled of alcohol and his performance on field sobriety tests indicated he was impaired. He was taken to Solon Jail where he blew a .131. He was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC, speed, marked lanes, and no seatbelt.
Burglary, July 31 — A resident on SR 91 was the victim of a burglary on the last day of July. The resident left her house at 1 p.m. and returned at 5 p.m. to discover someone had gone through drawers in her bedroom. The burglar appears to have cut a window screen and then climbed through the window. The burglar took a jewelry box with jewelry and an old iPhone in it. The detective bureau is investigating the incident.

Theft, July 30 — Gloria Voelker, 22, of Chagrin Falls, was arrested for shoplifting from Market District. Voelker, an employee of the store, had been seen stealing while on-the-clock. She was issued a misdemeanor citation for theft of approximately $167.68 of merchandise.
OVI, Aug. 1 — Police arrested Nicole Balogh, 28, of Mayfield Heights, for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. She was driving at night without her headlights on when police pulled her over. An odor of alcohol emanated from Balogh and there were several open bottles of liquor in the backseat of the car. She was taken to jail where she submitted to a breath test with a result of .177. She was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC, and no headlights.
