First Aid In The Workplace Session Coming To Solon

Joe will identify proper procedures for a variety of medical emergencies, how to assist in administering first-aid when someone is injured.

From Western Reserve Safety Council: Western Reserve Safety Council announces the next monthly program First Aid in the Workplace,Wednesday, March 14, 11:30 a.m. at Mustard Seed Market & Café, 6025 Kruse Dr., Solon. Speaker, Joe Emery from Be Prepared First Aid Training & CPR will give valuable direction for employers for basic first aid in the workplace. Joe will identify proper procedures for a variety of medical emergencies, how to assist in administering first-aid when a co-worker is injured and the often overlooked “do no further harm”.

Joe Emery, NREMT-P; FF has been a Firefighter and Paramedic over 10 years. Joe has spent years in the Pre-Hospital world providing care to Ill or injured patients. He strives on being innovative and creative. He established Be Prepared CPR and First Aid Training in 2014 when he realized there was a need to prepare people to perform CPR and First Aid in the workplace. Check-in begins at 11:15 a.m. and the program begins at 11:45 a.m. Program fee is $25 for WRSC members and $27 for non-members, includes a luncheon buffet and is open to the public. The WRSC is a program of the Solon Chamber of Commerce and is a collaborative effort of the Ohio BWC and Twinsburg, Hudson, Aurora, Beachwood and Chagrin Valley Chambers of Commerce. Established in 2014, The WRSC, is open to all area businesses, not-for-profits and government entities. The mission of the safety council is to provide a forum for the presentation of health and safety issues and exchange ideas and concepts for best practices in the workplace with an emphasis on regulatory compliance (e.g. OSHA, EPA rules and regulations, among others).
