​Virtual 5K Run or 1.75 mile Mutt Strut from anywhere!
Online registration available at active.com. Search Freedom Run 5K & Mutt Strut Aurora. Pre-registration cost $20 (until midnight 5/20/16); Same day registration $25; *Virtual run registration $25. T-shirts for the first 75 registered participants. Pooch packs for first 50 dogs. Virtual runners receive a t-shirt after the day of the race. Same day registration and packet pick up will open at 7:30 am. Both races will start at 8:30am near the E. Mennonite Road entrance to the park. 5K participants will be running an out and back course while the Mutt Strut will continue along the 1.75 mile loop around the beautiful lake. Refreshments, raffle, and awards at the finish. Awards for overall top female and male finisher, as well as top three finishers in each of the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Awards for top three dogs in the Mutt Strut! 100% proceeds support FGR's retired racing greyhounds waiting for their forever homes. Feel free to bring your dog in the 5K or Mutt Strut. No retractable leashes permitted for this event.
