"GAME CHANGING" NEW TREATMENTS TO STOP CHRONIC PAIN AND HEAL INJURIES NOW BEING OFFERED AT AHUJA
Regen Orthopedics helps patients overcome arthritis, chronic pain with regenerative medicine at Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood, Ohio.

A team of orthopedic physicians on Cleveland’s east side has opened a new practice to deliver the most advanced adult stem cell therapy available to patients.
Regen Orthopedics is now seeing patients at the Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood. Founded by renowned Orthopedic Surgeon, Reuben Gobezie, MD, one of the top 25 shoulder surgeons in the United States, Regen Orthopedics is the only orthopedic practice providing regenerative medicine in Northeast Ohio.
“We have seen patients travel to Florida and California to receive these innovative therapies,” Dr. Gobezie explained. “More and more patients are looking for ways to avoid ongoing steroid treatments and have begun asking for regenerative medicine. We are answering that need.”

Regen Orthopedics will offer non-surgical, biological therapies to patients suffering from chronic pain caused by osteoarthritis, tendonitis, muscle strains, sprains and nerve injuries. Outpatient treatments utilize a patient’s own platelets and adult stem cells and results in very little down time for the patient.
“Regenerative medicine is changing the game in orthopedics,” Dr. Gobezie continues. “It has the potential to enable a patient’s body to heal itself and offers a non-invasive solution to treat injuries that were previously beyond repair. It’s a very attractive alternative for those who are not candidates for surgery or want to avoid the side effects of steroids for healing and pain management.”

What is regenerative medicine?
Regenerative medicine in orthopedics is a trail-blazing treatment that replaces injured tissues with new, functioning tissues – regenerated from an individual’s own adult stem cells. The treatment stimulates previously damaged tissue to regain structure and recover, assisting the body’s own healing process.
Healthy regenerative cells can be found throughout the body. They are present within fat tissues, bone marrow and adipose connective tissue. Since the cells are collected from a patient’s own tissue, they do not pose a threat for rejection when transplanted to the injured site.
Using ultrasound guidance for targeted placement, a physician injects an individual’s own platelets and stem cells into the damaged tissue. The procedure stimulates healing and speeds repair for bone, muscle, joint, soft tissue and nerve injuries. The outcome of each treatment depends upon the site and severity of the injury as well as the patient’s own healing potential.
“Our therapies are aimed toward patients who have failed conventional treatments, such as anti-inflammatory medications, cortisone injections, physical therapy, surgery and rest,” explains Trevor Bullock, DO, Medical Director. “Although not all patients are candidates for regenerative procedures, we offer consultations to explore individualized treatment plans for each patient.”
What conditions can be treated with regenerative orthopedics?
- Osteoarthritis (of any joint)
- Muscle strains
- Ligament sprains
- Various forms of tendinitis or tendinosis
- Plantar fasciitis
- Compression nerve injuries
