How To Dispose Of Christmas Trees In Solon
Crews will be sweeping through the city, picking up discarded Christmas trees.

SOLON, OH — Solon residents who want to get rid of their live Christmas trees should place the trees on the curb for collection. City crews will only gather clean trees, meaning all lights, garland, tinsel and other decorations must be stripped from the tree.
Artificial trees will also be collected and discarded. Those trees should be put in with solid waste carts for collection. Pine wreaths and wire can also be placed in the automated solid waste cart.
Crews will work their way through the city, collecting trees. The city notes that Christmas trees may not be picked-up on a resident's regular trash day. Crews will make a complete pass through the city, so leave the trees at curbside.
