Inmate Fought With, Spit On Officers At Solon Jail
Police said the inmate — a Chagrin Falls woman — was being held for intoxicated driving.

SOLON, OH — A Chagrin Falls woman fought with police and corrections officers at Solon Jail, and spit in the face of one officer, Solon Police said. The woman was being held after she was arrested for driving drunk.
The woman — a 27-year-old from Chagrin Falls — was arrested at about 2:40 a.m. on October 14. Police said they saw the woman's car driving down the median of US 422. When officers went to check on the woman, she sped off. The officers caught up to her, and the woman finally pulled her car over.
The woman smelled of alcohol and had an open container of alcohol in her vehicle. She was arrested and taken to Solon Jail, where she eventually blew a .148 on a breath test. While being held she began sparring with officers, spitting in the face of one corrections officer. The woman is now being charged with resisting arrest and harassment by an inmate, a fifth degree felony.
