Intoxicated Man Arrested At Solon Grocery Store: Police
Investigators said the man was unable to stand on his own and was making a disturbance in the store.

SOLON, OH — There were two criminal incidents at the Solon Market District in three days. A local man was causing a disturbance in the store, slurring his words, and struggling to stand, leading to him being taken into custody. Then a man fled the store without paying for more than $400 of merchandise.
On September 15, at about 7:30 p.m., police were called to the bar area of the Market District. Callers said there was an intoxicated man in the store. A 53-year-old Solon man was found in the store, unable to stand on his own and smelling of alcohol, police said.
The man was unable to take care of himself, and no one was able to pick him up from the store. Officers took the man into custody and brought him to Solon Jail. He was charged with disorderly conduct, according to police records.

Two days later, on September 17, the manager of market District reported that someone left the store without paying for more than $400 of merchandise. The manager said the customer had gone out of the curbside pickup exit with the items.
Staff confronted him in the parking lot and the man said his wife was still in the store. As he spoke to staff, he started placing merchandise into a silver Toyota Corolla that was being driven by another man. The two left the parking lot in the car.
