Lakewood Senior Awarded in BBB Scholarship Contest

St. Edward High School Senior Wins Award in BBB Scholarship Contest

For Immediate Release – 12/9/2015 - Better Business Bureau Serving Greater Cleveland presented its Students of Integrity Awards today to three Greater Cleveland high school students who personify integrity through their leadership, community service, academics, and strong character ethics.

Joseph “Jack” Grespin, a St. Edward High School senior, was awarded a $1400 scholarship. Along with his academic accomplishments, Grespin is an outstanding varsity swimmer, and has traveled to the Dominican Republic for mission work. Recipient of several awards at St. Edward recognizing his character and service, he was recognized as the Service Student of the Year and founded “Big Mike’s Books and More,” a nonprofit that donates books and reads to children at the Ronald McDonald House. His guidance counselor said, “Jack Grespin is a remarkable young man with many talents and the drive, focus and determination to make a difference in the world….He is a true Renaissance Man and one of the best we have had here at Saint Edward High School.”

A total of 48 public and private high schools within the BBB’s five county service area participated by selecting their own Student of Integrity who, in turn, submitted an essay to the BBB.
