Lego League Teams Unite! Meeting Tonight With Young Innovators Society

The Young Innovators’ Society launches team formations with a visit from Jerry the Rocket Man tonight.

The meeting to help form teams for the Lego League season will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at the under the Pavilion. The Rocket launch is also set for 7:00 p.m. The popcorn social will allow parents and children to finalize their team selections.

Tables will be set up to help parents find appropriate teams for the children. Any child from grades K – 12 can participate. The season officially will begin in September when the national challenge is released. However, teams are forming now. Coaches seeking team members will also have a chance to meet young participants and their parents.

The rocket launch will be held at 7 p.m. and there will only be one launch. Anyone wishing to watch the rocket should arrive a few minutes before 7 p.m.

The Young Innovators’ Society recently changed its name from the Solon Engineers’ Club to show its growth to support teams outside of the Solon area. YIS is still committed to bringing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programs to its members.
