Man Attacks, Punches Person On Melbury Avenue In Solon

Police said they could not locate the suspected attacker.

SOLON, OH - Police are still looking for a person that punched a man on Melbury Avenue and then fled the area.

Callers told police they saw an attack at 11:30 p.m. on Melbury. Officers went to the scene and found a man on the ground. The attacker had already run off, police said.

The man on the ground had injuries from his attack, but refused treatment from Solon Rescue, police said. He told police the attacker had walked up to him on the street and punched him in the face.

However, the man refused to file an official complaint with police.

A witness told officers she saw the two men walking down the street, going south on Melbury, when one of the men turned and punched the other, knocking him to the ground. The suspect then mounted the victim and continued punching him.

The suspect was last seen going west on Aurora Road. Officers searched the area but could not locate the man.
