Suspect Who Fled From Solon Cops Finally Caught
A 20-year-old Oakwood man outran Solon Police in a car chase last week. He wasn't as lucky the second time around.

SOLON, OH — Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Solon Police would not be fooled again. A 20-year-old Oakwood man pushed his luck and tried to outrun the cops in his car for a second time in two weeks. Find out what happened with that incident and others from the past week below.
Physical Control, Market District: Pedestrians at Market District, 34310 Aurora Rd., reported that an intoxicated man was attempting to drive off of the lot. When police arrived, they found another motorist had blocked the man using their car. Police found obvious signs of impairment with the man. He was arrested on charges of Physical Control; Norquest has seven previous OVI convictions in the past 20 years.
OVI, Aurora Road: Callers reported a car weaving on US 422 on May 11. Police stopped the swerving car on Aurora Rd. The officer that spoke with the driver said there were signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and taken to jail where he submitted to a breath test with a result of .177. He was charged with OVI, Prohibited BAC, and Failure to Drive in Marked Lanes.

Burglary, Alsace Court: Someone broke into a 32-year-old Solon resident's home on May 14. The resident came home, laid down on her couch for a nap, and then noticed the wood trim around her door jamb was missing. She contacted police and officers determined that her door had been pried open. Nothing appeared to be missing, but the detective bureau is continuing to investigate the incident.
Abusing Harmful Intoxicants, Market District: Nicholas Carlo, 21, of Bedford, was seen inhaling from a compressed gas duster near the entrance of Market District on May 14. He was charged with Abusing Harmful Intoxicants.

OVI, True North Shell: Police arrested a 45-year-old Cleveland woman on May 15 after they saw her stopped on Solon Road with her car partially blocking the northbound lane of SR 91. When the light turned green, the woman made an improper left turn and was stopped by police. Police say they smelled an odor of alcohol coming from the woman. She said she was taking cough syrup prescribed by her doctor. She was arrested and taken to jail where she refused to submit to a breath test; she has two prior OVI convictions in the past twenty years. She was charged with OVI, and Turning at Intersections.
Fleeing and Eluding, US 422: A car involved in a fleeing from police situation last week was again spotted in Solon. An officer spotted the vehicle on US 422 and attempted to stop the car on Harper Road. The driver again fled, hit excessive speeds, but was stopped on Cochran Road, south of Solon Road. Isaiah Williamson, 20 of Oakwood, was arrested and charged with Fleeing and Eluding, Driving under Suspension, and No Seat Belt.
