Meth, Syringes Found After Solon Traffic Stop, Police Say
The woman accused of having meth was taken to Solon Jail. While en route, she admitted to having syringes hidden inside her body.
SOLON, OH — Police found methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Sunday. The driver later told officers she was hiding syringes inside her body.
The traffic stop happened at approximately 10:30 a.m., police said. While patrolling US 422, an officer spotted a car that's license plates did not match its vehicle. The officer stopped the car and spoke with the driver and his passenger, a 32-year-old Mantua woman.
The woman was not wearing a seat belt and she had an active warrant for her arrest. The woman was taken into custody and police then searched her vehicle and her property.

Inside, police found a brown powder wrapped in tin foil. Testing later indicated this substance was actually methamphetamine. The woman was then taken to Solon Correction Center.
While en route to the Correction Center, the woman told police she had syringes hidden inside her body. At the jail, the woman removed the syringes and turned them over to police.

The 32-year-old has been charged with drug possession, possession of drug abuse instruments, and not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the vehicle, a 34-year-old Mantua man, was charged with two traffic offenses.
