Military/ Veterans Resource Fair

To be Held on Friday, May 1st at Mayfield Library Branch.

The Mayfield Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library will join State Representative Marlene Anielski in hosting a Military/Veterans Resource Fair on Friday, May 1st.

The event will take place at the Mayfield Branch of the library and will feature a variety of organizations geared toward helping those who have served our country—no matter what era—as well as their spouses and families. Throughout the day there will be agency representatives who can help military personnel or their families with benefit questions, employment agencies, and many other military-related areas. There will be a free breakfast beforehand, starting at 8:00 a.m. paid for by the Friends of the Library Fund for those who have served and their families. The event is free and open to the public.

Time: 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the free breakfast starting at 8:00 a.m.

Location: Mayfield Library Branch (500 SOM Center Road, Mayfield, OH 44143)

Bring: DD 214 or NGB 22 discharge papers. If discharge papers are not available, please bring the social security card of the military personnel.

“All of our military personnel have given personal sacrifices in leaving their loved ones to protect our freedoms,” Rep. Anielski said. “It is my intention to make sure that all those who have served, no matter in what capacity and no matter what era, are aware of the benefits and services available to them during the Military/Veterans Resource Fair.”

Participating Organizations: U.S. Army Wounded Warriors, Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission, Ohio Department of Veterans Services, American Red Cross, Louis Stokes VA Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Ohio Veterans Home, Ohio Veterans Bonus Team, Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Public Utilities Commission, Edward Jones, Cuyahoga Community College, LifeBanc, Fifth Third Bank, Cleveland State University, United Way of Greater Cleveland, and many more.
