Mosquito Fogging Starts In August In Solon
Crews will be spraying for mosquitoes in August.
SOLON, OH — Solon crews will fog for mosquitoes on Aug. 11-12.
"The Solon Service Department has completed the surveillance and trapping of mosquito's around the city. The numbers collected from the traps along with the residential calls we have received are at the level for us to schedule city wide fogging," the city said in a post on social media.
Fogging will begin at sunset. Signage will be place in areas to be fogged prior crews sweeping through the area.

Fogging will be done by zones:
- Aug. 11 — Zones 1 and 2
- Aug. 13 — Zones 3 and 4
If there is rain, fogging will take place Aug. 12 and Aug. 14.

The Solon Service Department has previously said the chemicals it uses to control mosquitoes are approved by the EPA.
