Nestlé Bringing 300 Jobs To Northeast Ohio
The company is moving its supply chain and technical and production organizations to Solon.

SOLON, OH — Nestlé is bringing its technical and production organization and all supply chain teams to its Solon, Ohio, campus, the company announced on Wednesday. That will mean 300 jobs migrating to Northeast Ohio.
The additions to the Solon campus were announced as part of a larger shift in American production. Nestlé says in a press release that it is moving its corporate headquarters to Arlington, Virginia, by the end of 2017. That move is expected to bring 750 jobs to the Washington, D.C., area.
The company's Solon campus currently employs about 2,000 people, the company says in a statement. To accommodate the new positions, the Harper Road Building will undergo a complete renovation. That building was constructed in 1969.

The Harper Road Building will also adopt Nestlé's Global Workplace Standard. That means the office will be completed with open-space workstations, natural lighting and a combination of informal and formal meeting places.
This Harper Road Building is right next to a company production facility which employs more than 850 people. In 2015, Nestlé opened up a $50 million research and development center off Cannon Road. The company also purchased nearby real estate in Solon and says it is preparing for the future.

A Nestlé spokesperson said the company currently manages the following frozen food brands out of its Ohio campus: Stouffer's and Lean Cuisine frozen meals; Buitoni refrigerated pasta and sauce; Nestlé Toll House morsels, baking ingredients and refrigerated cookie dough; Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin; Nestlé Carnation milks; Hot Pockets and Lean Pockets; and the pizza brands DiGiorno, California Pizza Kitchen, Tombstone and Jack's.
Nestlé currently employs about 3,600 people throughout the state of Ohio. Besides the Solon campus, there are offices and production facilities in Dublin and Marysville.
“The moves announced today are designed to allow us to work even smarter, fueling growth for our bright future, and we’re pleased to continue that growth and investment here in Ohio and in Solon, where both Governor John Kasich and Mayor Susan Drucker have welcomed our efforts,” said Nestlé USA Chairman and CEO Paul Grimwood in a press release.
Besides Drucker and Kasich, Nestlé credited Team NEO, a business development organization, for encouraging the company's growth in Ohio.
