Nestlé Volunteers Help Groups In Solon, Northeast Ohio

The company's fourth annual Day of Service saw employees help the Cleveland Food Bank, Boys & Girls Clubs and more.

SOLON, OH — About 500 Nestlé employees dedicated part of their Thursday to volunteering across Northeast Ohio. The group packaged meals for the Cleveland Food Bank, ran activities with the Boys & Girls Clubs, gardened at the Holden Arboretum and more.

"This is our fourth annual Day of Service, and it’s a day we look forward to every year. We have an opportunity to pause, come together as a team, and give back. At Nestlé we are committed to creating meaningful change in the communities where we live and work," said Sarah Factor, communications manager at Nestlé USA.

The Day of Service is a company-wide activity, with 5,000 Nestlé employees taking part nationwide. In Ohio, Nestlé workers engaged in 15 or so volunteer opportunities in Solon, Cleveland and throughout Northeast Ohio.

Employees could be seen hustling around the Solon Nestlé campus on Thursday, all wearing blue T-shirts that said Day of Service. The staffers packaged meals for the Cleveland and Akron food banks, gardened at the Holden Arboretum and at the Cleveland Botanical Garden and led activities for various Boys & Girls Clubs.
