Pepper Spray Fight At Solon Chipotle Gets 3 People Cited

Police said an argument over a parking space spiraled out of control at the Chipotle on Aurora Road.

SOLON, OH — An argument over a parking space morphed into a fight, with pepper spray, at the Solon Chipotle on July 20. Three people were ultimately cited for disorderly conduct and fighting, police said.

The incident started at about 2:20 p.m. that Saturday. Officers were told there was a large fight in progress at Chipotle on Aurora Road.

A 33-year-old Garfield Heights woman, working for a meal delivery service, parked in front of the restaurant so she could run in and pick up an order. When she came out of the building two 40-year-old people from Solon were waiting for her, police said.

The Solon residents said she should move her car. The argument went inside the restaurant and briefly involved the Chipotle manager, police records said. Then the argument went back outside.

While outside, one of the Solon residents aggressively approached the delivery driver, and the Garfield Heights woman used pepper spray to "protect herself," she told police. After using the spray, she went into the Chipotle to try and call the police but was attacked by the other Solon resident. The driver then pepper sprayed that person too.
