Pulling No Punches, 'Expect Respect' Brings Dating Lessons to Solon High
The play, performed by teenagers, is aimed at educating their peers on dating violence and unhealthy relationships
The storyline of Expect Respect features a grenade in danger of exploding.
But what the play really seeks to do is about what makes a healthy relationship and what doesn't.
It does that by being as realistic as possible. The teenage cast speaks and acts like real teenagers – they swear and they're vulgar and they sometimes do inappropriate things to each other.

The play, featuring some Solon students as cast members, came to Solon High School today. It was performed for the freshman class as part of Solon's program to mentor and confront issues as they deal with adolescence and transition into high school, said Tammy Strom, spokeswoman for Solon City Schools.
Next week, a panel of students from around the area, including Solon, will return to the school to discuss the issues raised by the play with the freshmen.
